It Is Right To Be Associated With Wrong? By: Gary Colley

- Billy Graham Crusade - Front page of the Nashville Banner, October 17, 1999, announced the "Graham Crusade." It describes the event as "now more slick and fast paced" than in years gone by. They project the cost, carried on by a "well oiled machine" will be "$2.5 million" for the crusade in Nashville. There will be attractions like "athletes offering testimonials," and they intend to rely heavily on "contemporary Christian music" with "Christian rock stars" to "connect with a younger crowd." They are calling for "20,000 volunteers, to be ushers, counselors, choir singers, and data entry people" who will be extensively trained to talk to those coming forward. The respondents will receive a small booklet, and be asked to repeat, "Oh God, I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sins. I am willing to turn from my sins." And that's it!! One may search his Bible through, but he will not find anything close to this spoken to alien sinners for salvation in the New Testament. Alien sinners in the New Testament are commanded to obey, not pray (Acts 2:38, But They Will Not Hear The Message of Christ
Acts 22:16)! The Lord would forbid any one of His people being a part of this charade today, since the Lord's plan of salvation will not be spoken (II John 9-11, Ephesians 5:11,
Galatians 1:8-9). The Lord forbids!!They will not receive the Lord's words, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:... And they shall be all taught of God (John 6:44-45). It will not be said, as the Lord did, "...He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15-16)." They will not be given the words of Jesus, repent of sins or perish What People Will Not Hear
(Luke 13:3-5). Respondents will not hear Christ, about confessing His name before men
(Matthew 10:32-33). They will not be given the words spoken by Jesus, "Verily, Verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God
(John 3:5)." They will not hear Hebrews 5:8-9, Titus 2:11-12, nor I Peter 3:21. The Lord forbids that any Christian be involved in any way. Some who claim connection with the churches of Christ, are now joining and advocating having a part in the Graham Crusade. In my possession is an article by Rubel Shelly, now of Nashville, then of Memphis, entitled, "BILLY GRAHAM ON BAPTISM," and saying that Mr. Graham is "a false teaches." How some change! RUBEL HAS CHANGED! The Lord is the same Lord Says, "No Fellowship"
(Hebrews 13:8-9). The Lord forbids!!
