If a Man Die, Shall he Live Again? By: Garland M. Robinson |
|
This question was asked in Job 14:14. Multitudes of people today act as though there is no life after death. Many wish it were so. Evolution says no. The doctrine of humanism does not believe in life after death. However, all evidence points to its FACT! Surely, you believe it, dont you?
The Bible gives scripture after scripture to make men believe there is more than the grave -- theres life beyond! When king Davids newborn son died he said, ...now he is dead...can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me" (II Samuel 12:23). Note these passages: ...The hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation" (John 5:28-29). The Lord ...will also raise up us by his own power" (I Corinthians 6:14). "Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus..." (II Corinthians 4:14). After we die, "we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens" (II Corinthians 5:1). "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him...For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (I Thessalonians 4:13-17).
Only a fool says there is no God (Psalm 14:1; Psalm 53:1). God is the ruler of the universe (Acts 17:24), and when he says theres life after death, it is so! Therefore, the question is not "is there life after death, the question is, are you ready for it? Amos 4:12 says, prepare to meet thy God. Theres certainly no preparation after death. Arrangements must be made NOW. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (II Corinthians 6:2). Everyone must believe, repent, confess, be baptized, live faithful (John 8:24; Luke 13:3; Romans 10:10; Acts 2:38; Matthew 24:13). "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul" (Matthew 16:26)?
Will you lose your soul or save it? The choice is yours!
